살아 있는 세포의 세포내 변화를 세포 독성 없이 고속으로 촬영이 가능하여 다양한 세포생물학 연구분야에 응용될 것으로 사료되며, 특히 뇌과학 분야와 Live cell imaging 분야에서 가능. 특히 고감도 detector를 포함하고 있기 때문에 기존의 광학의 해상력 이상의 super resolution imaging이 가능
